Computer HackAn investigation is under way into the weekend hacking of the OneNewsNow.com website.

The attacks took place at two different times this weekend, making the website temporarily unavailable. It is believed the attacks originated outside the United States and involved more than 4,000 other websites.

OneNewsNow.com, as well as other sites such as Voice of the Martyrs, has carried numerous stories of Christian persecution in China, as that country hosts the Olympic Games. David Smith is in the IT department for OneNewsNow and says no user information was compromised in the attack.

"From what we can tell, no information was actually sent back to the hackers," Smith explains. "Basically, they just updated our database to read what they wanted it to read."

Smith says the problem has been corrected. However, he points out that the comments section on articles may not be operational until the middle of the week.
