church steepleWell-known author and evangelist Anne Graham Lotz says it's time for the church in America to take responsibility for its failings.

While the daughter of Billy Graham does not say Christians should retreat from the culture war, she does say it is time for Christians in the United States to look inward. "The greatest need in our nation today is for God's people to wake up in their relationship with God," Lotz contends.

If that happens, Lotz says Christians will make a true difference in America and in the world.

Anne Graham Lotz"We can point our finger at a political party, or at reforms, or the need of this or that, or the social sins -- and there are some that are grievous, and I don't want to take away from that -- but I believe God wants to use and me as a channel of his blessing to the world, just like he wanted to use Abraham," she adds. "Abraham was called of God to follow him in a life of faith so he would receive God's blessing that he might, in turn, be a channel of blessing to other people."

Her new book explores the life of Abraham. It is titled The Magnificent Obsession: Embracing the God-Filled Life.
