Call 2 Fall logoThe lead singer for a Grammy-nominated contemporary Christian band is encouraging Christians to focus on repentance and prayer for God to reshape their lives and renew the land.

Earlier this year, Rick Heil -- lead singer with SONICFLOOd -- and other band members partnered with the Family Research Council to host the first "Call2Fall" gathering. On July 5, Christians across America took time out during their worship services and prayed specifically for God's forgiveness and a revival throughout the country.

Churches are once again being asked to sign up and participate in next year's observance on July 4, 2010. Heil says it is important to stand for Christian values with the right spirit and attitude.

"A lot of times, I think we get irate at what's going on and we start getting militant -- and really that's just what the opposing side wants to see happen," the musician shares. "They want to see a shoving match, they want to see a wrestling match, they want to see a boxing match -- and that's really not the way that the Lord directs us to go."

SONICFLOOd will be on a Call2Fall tour throughout the rest of the year.
