Answering the call: Atheists need 'a rock to stand on'

Ray ComfortThe founder of Living Waters ministries says atheists and evolutionists don't have a Bible -- so he's about to fix that problem.

Evangelist Ray Comfort says atheists and evolutionists are a boat without a rudder, a ship without a sail. "You ask one atheist something and he'll say I believe this about God -- and someone else will say something else," he shares. "They don't have a 'bible'...there is no rock to stand on. So I decided to give evolutionists a rock to stand on -- I gave them 'The Charles Darwin Bible.'"

Comfort realizes that the concept of a Charles Darwin Bible may sound strange, but he says the palm-sized book is packed full of good information.

"If you can get an atheist and corner them and [ask]: You really believe nothing created everything? And if he says yes, then he's saying that nothing actually made all this creation we see, which is ridiculous," Comfort shares.

"If nothing created everything, nothing is not nothing -- it's something," the evangelist continues. "It's a creative force of some sort. So often an atheist will say it was something; it just wasn't God. So he's not an atheist -- he believes in an initial cause."

A thousand copies of the Bible will be distributed for free to educators at the upcoming NEA conference in California.
