Planned ParenthoodA pro-life activist group is in Florida to protest the opening of a new Planned Parenthood abortion clinic.

Chicago-based Pro-Life Action League spokesman Eric Scheidler has been in Naples providing motivation and training for peaceful demonstrations. He says until this week, no abortions had been performed in Naples for 16 years. Scheidler comments on the mood of the townspeople.

"It's the kind of an admixture of sorrow and blessing that always comes with taking action to fight abortion. People are very sad," he notes. "I've seen tears from many of the residents of Naples that abortions are being committed in their town; but at the same time, there's a tremendous sense of hope that the pro-life community has been so mobilized."

Scheidler adds that the same kind of campaign can be organized in any community whose citizens have a heart for the unborn.Eric Scheidler (Pro-Life Action League)

"Let us all be attentive to the voice of the Holy Spirit. What is God calling you to do today, tomorrow, next week, throughout the rest of your life to fight abortion, to restore some sanctity of life, to take action, to save the babies and their moms from abortion? There's a mission for each one of us out there and we need to be attentive to the Holy Spirit so we can answer that call," he contends.

Scheidler is thankful for the closing of several abortion clinics in Texas and five recently in Indiana.
