Public being misled on use of fetal tissue

A company that manufactures anti-wrinkle cream from aborted babies is responding to a public outcry.

Debi VinnedgeThousands of people have been contacting Neocutis, objecting to the company's use of aborted baby tissue -- and company officials are providing some "not so honest answers," according to Debi Vinnedge, executive director of Children of God for Life. (See earlier article)

"They said that there was only one abortion and that this abortion was done because the pregnancy could not come to term and that the mother's life was in danger. But when you read the research reports, that's not at all what's said," Vinnedge argues.

The company's explanation is a poor attempt to sanitize the information, according to Vinnedge. She adds that the company claims tissue was only used from one aborted baby, but the Neocutis website reveals another story.

"They talk about how they've been using fetal tissue extensively since 1995 -- and even if it only took one baby to produce the final 'perfect' product, that doesn't excuse all of the abortions that were done prior to that time," contends Vinnedge.

The executive director claims that Neocutis is trying to mislead the public, and that includes their proclaiming a published statement from the Vatican justifies what they are doing. Vinnedge says that is totally incorrect.
