Next week a Christian activist will lead a rally before the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.  to stand for free speech.

Next Monday's rally was formed after the U.S. Congress passed and President Barack Obama signed the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act. (See previous article)

Gary CassDr. Gary Cass, president of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission, is organizing the rally.

"We're going to exercise our First Amendment rights to preach [the entire] Bible, including those parts that deal with homosexuality and the truth of the sin of homosexuality," explains Dr. Cass. He further says this is being done as a way to clarify "....that this does not constitute a hate crime."

The organization president's purpose in organizing this effort is to stop the implementation of the legislation.
