Liberty Counsel is making a list, checking it twice, and searching for Christmas "grinches."

Matt StaverFounder Matt Staver tells OneNewsNow that his law firm has launched its seventh annual "Friend or Foe" Christmas campaign in order to make sure that Christmas is not being censored in the public sector as well as in the private retail market. This year Staver says the American Humanist Association is being the "ultimate Grinch" with the launch of billboard campaigns in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Christmas billboard (American Humanist Association)"Their campaign has ads that say 'No God? No Problem,' and they feature an image of several people wearing Santa hats with the phrase 'be good for goodness' sake.' That's all part of the American Humanist campaign to try to essentially say that there is no God," Staver notes.

"It is the ultimate Grinch to suggest that there is no God [and to make that statement] during a holiday where millions of people around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is absolutely insensitive and mean. I think it is wrong to belittle Jesus and wrong to undermine God as part of this celebration that millions of people around the world celebrate."

Staver believes the ads are doomed to fail because suggesting that there is no God could get people to think about the real reason for the season. Liberty Counsel's "Naughty and Nice" campaign defends Christmas in public educational institutions as well.
