email keyFBI agents have raided the apartment of a University of Tennessee student in connection with the alleged hacking of the personal e-mail of vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

According to The Chattanoogan, the student in question is David Kernell, son of a Democratic state legislator from Memphis. Mike Kernell has acknowledged that it is his son who is under investigation.

The report says a federal grand jury is set to convene in Chattanooga tomorrow to deal with the case.

The McCain-Palin campaign is calling the hacking "a shocking invasion of the governor's privacy and a violation of the law."
