Govenment sued in million-dollar tract case

The Liberty Counsel is representing a Christian in his suit against the U. S. Department of Homeland Security. In 2006, the Secret Service raided Darrel Rundus’ ministry, Great News Network (GNN), without a warrant and demanded all the religious tracts titled “Million Dollar Bill.” The agents claimed the tracts violated federal counterfeiting laws.
The tract purposely resembles a monetary bill. However, the front says “This bill is not legal tender,” “Thou shalt not steal” and “Department of Eternal Affairs,” while the reverse has multiple statements with the plan of salvation written on the border of the tract.
GNN has distributed over one million of the tracts with great success according to Rundus. An estimated 8 to 10 million tracts have been sold by Living Waters over the last 10 years without any interference by the government.
