gay ice creamIce cream changes name to support gay marriage

Ben & Jerry’s ice cream company temporarily changed the name of one of its flavors to support Vermont’s decision to legalize same-gender marriage. For the month of September, “Chubby Hubby” was called “Hubby Hubby.”
“Ben & Jerry’s … celebrates the beginning of the freedom to marry for gay and lesbian couples in Vermont with the symbolic renaming of its well-known ice cream flavor Chubby Hubby to Hubby Hubby,” said a company press release. “In partnership with Freedom to Marry, Ben & Jerry’s aims to raise awareness of the importance of marriage equality and served Hubby Hubby sundaes in Vermont Scoop Shops throughout the month of September.”
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth about Homosexuality said, “Besides the health aspects, there’s also the fact that homosexual behavior is opposed by God. That’s something that we should take seriously. All homosexual behavior is sinful, and regardless of what liberals say or Ben & Jerry’s puts on a tub of ice cream, that remains the case.”
