homosexual flagMembers meeting in Amsterdam at the World Congress of Families have heard about the homosexual legal agenda's threat to religious liberty as a part of its drive toward same-sex "marriage."

The comments came from attorney Ben Bull of the Alliance Defense Fund. He warned it is common for Christians and pastors to suffer at the hands of homosexual activists, simply for abiding by biblical principles. "One of the things that the leaders of the homosexual legal agenda have been saying for years is that whenever religious freedom or the free-speech rights of Christians interferes with their agenda, that their agenda trumps," he pointed out to conference attendees.

Ben Bull (ADF)Bull called it a clear and present danger. "There's a freight train coming and it's heading right towards Christians, and it's called the homosexual legal agenda -- and it will run right over our constitutional rights unless we're heard loud and clear," he added.

Homosexual activists, Bull explained, have used the courts rather than elections to consistently gain ground.

Children - the hope of the future
Janice Crouse of the Beverly LaHaye Institute (Concerned Women for America) told the audience in Amsterdam that the media does not tell the whole story of single mothers because it is not the archetype of a happy mother.

"They have failed to honestly report on the problems that are undermining the foundations of the family and devastating children's well-being around the world," Crouse stated.

Janice CrouseShe went on to say that children are imperiled by the lack of a loving father. The World Congress of Families has emphasized the answer to the problem, Crouse noted.

"Steadfast commitment in marriage provides security in family life that is needed by children," said the family advocate. "Children are in entitled to the complimentary parental love and attention of both a mother and a father, which marriage bestows."

After 25 years of personal research, Crouse reported marriage is not just good for children -- it is the best scenario. Single parenting often involves consequences for children such as poverty, lack of education, and crime -- and restoring marriage is a paramount need, she said.
