Homosexual lieutenant disrespects officers

A conservative military watchdog is calling a West Point graduate to task for the disrespectful way the open homosexual treated her and senior military officers during a recent appearance on CNN.

Dan ChoiEarlier this month, Army National Guard Lieutenant Daniel Choi was a guest on Anderson Cooper's AC 360 program. Choi has been campaigning for repeal of the 1993 law that bans homosexuals from serving in the military. He has been fighting against the order for his own discharge, an order that was made due to his professed homosexual conduct.

Elaine DonnellyElaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness, appeared on that same show. She says Choi was very disrespectful when she mentioned that more than 1,150 high-ranking officers had personally signed a formal statement in support of the 1993 Eligibility Law.

"He referred to these people as in their 70s and 80s, living in senior citizen centers where I, Elaine Donnelly, collected their signatures," she says. "I believe he knows otherwise. If he doesn't, he should. These are very distinguished gentlemen. For him to make a snide remark like that says more about Daniel Choi than it does about the experienced senior flag and general officers who signed that statement." Donnelly concludes that Choi "has shown poor judgement in this regard. What he said on national and international TV is not a credit to him."

Donnelly says 51 of the retired officers who signed the statement had achieved the four-star rank -- which she points out one does not accomplish in his or her 20s. Choi does not turn 30 until 2011.
