Pelosi on same-sex 'marriage'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she would support efforts by would-be president Barack Obama to legalize homosexual so-called "marriages" nationwide.

Pelosi made the admission when questioned by a reporter for CNSNews.com, the Cybercast News Service.

REPORTER: Senator Obama has called for the full repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). And I'm wondering, if Senator Obama is elected president, if you'll support him in repealing that in the next congress?

PELOSI: Yes.

Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth, is stunned by the admission.

"This is the only thing standing in the way of states being forced to recognize these out-of-state counterfeit, homosexual, so-called 'marriages.' And for her to just quickly say, 'Yes,' that she wants to repeal that is just shockingly inappropriate," LaBarbera contends.

He says the hypocrisy of pro-homosexual politicians is fascinating.

"You have people like Barack Obama, who say they do not support same-sex 'marriage' and, yet, all their actions, especially Obama's call for the full repeal of DOMA, do nothing but promote so-called homosexual 'marriage' being spread across the United States," LaBarbera adds. "All their actions facilitate the spread of same-sex 'marriage,' even as they deny that they're supporting same-sex 'marriage.'

LaBarbera says Pelosi's admission only strengthens the need for a Federal Marriage Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
