vote boothA well-known preacher and Bible teacher says Christians must vote according to Kingdom values, instead of the world's values.

Dr. Tony Evans recently released a four-part series on how Christians should vote. That series encouraged believers to vote for the party, platform, and person that best reflects the Kingdom of God.

"You have to put those three together and then align them to the Kingdom of God...so some people are going to highlight certain issues, whereas they will be different than other people, but still you're thinking Kingdom," he points out.

Dr. Tony EvansEvans points out that neither Republicans nor Democrats have a monopoly on Kingdom values. That is why the Texas pastor says it is important for the body of Christ to be united after the election, no matter the outcome.

"Our good deeds, along with our good words, will say more than our political bantering. So if we can engage in something that is for the common good, but at the same time does not compromise our biblical values, that is what we should be engaging in," he continues. "[A]nd then we give reason for men to glorify our Father who is in Heaven, because of the good work we are collectively doing."

Dr. Evans points to the National Church Adopt a School Initiative, which teaches churches how to partner with public schools -- an effort he says has helped transform more than 60 schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and is spreading nationwide.
