Indiana-based Grote Industries is the latest to file suit against the ObamaCare mandate.
The vehicle lighting manufacturer objects on religious grounds to the requirements that it provide free insurance coverage for abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization and contraception under threat of heavy penalties. The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is representing the company.
"The government has no business deciding what faith is, who the faithful are, or where and when their faith can be practiced," contends ADF attorney Matt Bowman.
"Washington politicians can't confine faith to our homes and our churches. Honoring God is important every day in all areas of life, including in our business. Freedom is God-given, not government-driven."
ADF and allied attorneys filed a federal lawsuit Monday, October 29.
Grote Industries was founded in 1901 and is still operated by the Grote family, which is Catholic. There are now 38 lawsuits filed to block the HHS mandate.
