A California pro-family leader says state Democrats have "declared war" on parents, morality, and children.
Democrats in the California Legislature have sent Gov. Jerry Brown (D) a stack of bills that promotes what Randy Thomasson of SaveCalifornia.com calls an "intolerant, perverse sexual agenda." He is outraged that they passed a handful of bad bills at the last minute.
"The Democrats have declared war in a lusty, aggressive way upon all that is good and natural, all that is pro-family, all that is moral," he laments, "and they are just socking it to the pro-family citizens of California."
SB 1172 is among the measures. It prevents minors from receiving counseling if they are struggling with homosexuality. It bans the from "gay"-to-straight or "conversion therapy," as Democrats claim the practice is "destructive" for children. Another bill (AB 1856) further requires foster parents to undergo "gender sensitivity training." But as Thomasson points out, Lieu and the Assembly Democrats who backed this measure are overlooking something.
"How dare these Democrat politicians deny essential care to children who've been raped or molested by a perpetrator. How dare the Democrats rob parents of their God-given right to pursue healing for their traumatized child," he comments. "It's absolutely wrong to withhold emotional, mental, and physical help from a child who has been raped or molested, and as a result of this physical, mental, and emotional exploitation, is often confused about his or her sexual identity."
Democrats also approved a resolution honoring late homosexual activist Harvey Milk and passed a bill that would eventually give way to "gay marriage."
