Pro-life groups across the nation have launched a national "Stop the Gosnells" coalition to urge Congress and state legislatures to improve oversight and practices in the late-term abortion industry.

The campaign is led by national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List. More than 20 other groups have joined together, including Concerned Women for America.

Quigley, Mallory (SBA List)The coalition's website states the group is dedicated to exposing the horrors of late-term abortion most recently exposed by the trial of convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell of Philadelphia.

"We know that the conditions and the practices that happened and that were exposed during the trial in Philadelphia are actually occurring at other abortion clinics across the country," says Mallory Quigley, communications director at the Susan B. Anthony List.

Quigley explains that the initial featured action is to encourage support for U.S. Rep. Trent Franks' (R-Arizona) nationwide Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act to protect babies nationwide from abortions past 20 weeks gestation.

The coalition website features several pro-life resources as well as an action center where grassroots activists can contact their elected representatives.
