ABA: no more 'harmful' thoughts
New ethics rules announced by the American Bar Association are being denounced as Orwellian-like for their attempt to limit and punish free speech.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is congratulating a legendary football coach for being bestowed with one of the top honors in his sport.
Former NFL head coach Tony Dungy was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday in Canton, Ohio. Dungy had a long career in the league, winning Super Bowls both as a player and a coach. He's also known for being a best-selling author and as an analyst for NBC's "Football Night in America."
Dungy has also supported the Fellowship of Christian Athletes over the years, serving as a speaker, mentor, and leader. FCA president and CEO Les Steckel coached with Dungy in the NFL.
"When someone says 'first-class,' you immediately think of Tony Dungy. He treats people with such respect," he shares.
Steckel tells OneNewsNow that Coach Dungy represented Christ well in every game he coached.
"Being in critical situations, pressurized moments on the sidelines of an NFL game, he is unflappable," Steckel recalls. "His Christian character is still very present. Talk about the fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5 [vv. 22-26] – Tony Dungy lives it out. He's one of the finest gentlemen who ever coached the game."
FCA is "grateful for Tony Dungy and his heart for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ."
