Love winsFranklin Graham has a warning to well-meaning parents and the church about the homosexual-rights movement: be careful and pay attention.

Graham, president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritans Purse, spoke about the hot-button issue with Dr. James Dobson on his “Family Talk” radio program on American Family Radio

Graham

Graham told the radio host that he was alarmed recently when some self-proclaimed Christians informed him they had welcomed homosexual children to their home. The hope, the parents said, was that their children could influence their guests.

“And I thought to myself, They're not going to influence those kids, those kids are going to influence those parents' children,” Graham said.

Parents and churches, he said, should be aggressive to preach the Bible, and its message of sin and salvation.

The obvious next question then, Graham said, is whether homosexuals can go to Heaven.

“Absolutely, sure,” he told Dr. Dobson. “But that gay person is going to have to repent of their sins, and turn from their sins, and they have to believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and trust Him as their Savior and they have to be willing to follow Him as their Lord. But you cannot stay gay and call yourself Christian.”
