Former Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-Minn.) appears to not be taking the advice of many Leftists – by mixing politics with religion – as she prepares to engage in spiritual warfare at the global community’s New York City headquarters as a “pastor to the United Nations” to root out the “darkness and deception” that has permeated the international agency.
Bachmann was appointed her position – that will launch at the upcoming U.N. gathering – by Skyline Church Senior Pastor Jim Garlow, whose Southern California church’s ministry serving in the nation’s capital has helped root numerous politicians’ agendas firmly in the Bible.
“Skyline Church in La Mesa, California, led by Jim Garlow, already operates a weekly Christian ministry at the U.S. Capitol for members of Congress and their staff, known as The Jefferson Gathering,” The Christian Post (CP) informed.
Anything but a ‘global peacekeeper’
The former Congresswoman from Minnesota was up for the challenge to take the lead and spread the ministry to the U.N. – in a day and age when it aggressively pushes its globalist agenda promoting everything from population control through abortion and sterilization, to pushing costly global warming industry restrictions through world governments, to inciting anti-Semitism, to compelling Muslim refugee resettlement across the planet.
“I don’t know a darker, more deceived place on Earth than the U.N.,” Bachmann stated, according to Patheos. “Because – as we saw at the Tower of Babel – that’s probably the last time when we saw all the nations of the Earth come together in a moment of deception.”
She then alluded to the fact that the End Times are currently unfolding, with the U.N. assuming the role of being the agent that sets the stage for the antichrist’s government that reigns over the entire Earth – as explained in the Book of Revelation.
“Their goal has been from the very beginning, the creation of a one-world order; but not a one-world order under the umbrella of the Holy Spirit – a man’s attempt at a one-world order that only brings about chaos, confusion, deception, delusion, pain,” Bachmann continued.“And that’s where – rather than cursing the darkness – Skyline Church is about to light a candle.”
Grounding globalists in the Gospel
Garlow initially announced Bachmann as his choice to lead the outreach to the U.N. via social media.
"Dream with me. Pray with me. Believe with me. What if a great spiritual awakening was inexplicably touched off in the United Nations in New York City?” the conservative megachurch pastor posted on his Facebook page on Saturday. “Our Intercession Team is praying/travailing intensely for that! Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann is Skyline Church's new 'pastor to the United Nations' in New York City."
He then spread the news to his congregation at Skyline during service the next day.
“What if you wanted to disciple all nations, and you wanted to reach the whole world?” Garlow asked his church members Sunday, according to RightWingWatch. “So God did you a favor. He simply arranged so all the world came to one place at one time so you could reach them all at once. What would you call it? You’d call it the United Nations, and that would be the most economical way that you could possibly reach the leaders.”
The Jefferson Gathering is not the only ministry involved in the effort to turn the tide in a biblical direction at the U.N.
“Garlow further noted in the service that he got help in establishing the U.N. ministry from C-FAM (Center for Family and Human Rights) – a nonprofit with offices in New York City and Washington D.C. that monitors and affects the social policy debate at the United Nations and other international institutions,” Showalter informed.
C-FAM is dedicated to fighting the numerous anti-family policies pushed by the U.N. that directly oppose Christian beliefs and undermine parental rights.
“C-FAM publishes and promotes scholarship related to the proposition that the U.N. and other international institutions harm a true understanding of international law, and – in the process – undermine the family and other institutions man requires for a just, free and happy life," the Christian nonprofit organization declared about its mission to the U.N.
Prior to Bachmann accepting the challenge by telling Skyline congregants that this “audacious step” forward in her new mission was needed now more than ever, Garlow shared that Fox News reporter, Jon Decker, will be serving as the ministry’s pro-bono communications director, according to RightWingWatch.
Unhappy Left-leaning atheist
Not pleased with the new godly and conservative influence at the ultra-progressive U.N., Leftist pundit Hemant Mehta attempted in a liberal rant to cut down Bachmann’s attempt to share some biblical truth with the global agency’s members.
“It’s unclear what Bachmann will actually do. Will she preach inside the building? Hold gatherings for U.N. representatives who want to pray for whatever Conservative Jesus wants that day? Attempt to convert the representatives from Muslim nations?” Mehta sarcastically posed in his “Friendly Atheist” blog on Patheos. “I guess we should be glad, though. The woman who lives in her own world will be trying to convert people from other countries. They can ignore her if they want. At least it means she’s not trying to get back into politics. We have enough [expletive] to clean up with the current crop of Republicans.”
