U.S. ConstitutionIt's the time of year when people are finalizing their summer vacation plans and one university hopes you make plans to head west and visit Colorado.

The Western Conservative Summit is scheduled for June 8 and 9 in Denver, Colorado.

Now in its ninth year, the Summit is hosted by the Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University.

"Western Conservative Summit is the largest gathering of conservatives outside of Washington, D.C., and it's a great gathering to focus on the things that we all care so deeply about: faith, family and freedom," says Jeff Hunt, director of the Centennial Institute.

"We hear from nationally renowned conservative speakers," he continues, "and we host workshops where you can go deep on the issues that you care about, everything from religious freedom to the conservative response to global warming or climate change, energy independence, the pro-life movement, and transgenderism."

Invited speakers include Ainsley Earhardt of Fox & Friends, social media personalities Diamond and Silk, actor Kirk Cameron, and conservative activist Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA.

"Most people think of Colorado as a great place to come skiing," says Hunt, "but you should come out here in the summer because it's absolutely beautiful."
