Trail Life USA emblemTwo separate but complementary Christian organizations are stepping forward to help parents build character in children despite the confusing, frustrating times we live in.

The left-leaning Girl Scouts has been watching its numbers drop for years and now the long-respected Boy Scouts is imploding after first allowing open homosexuals and transgenders, and more recently, allowing girls.

Trail Life USA, formed by veteran Boy Scout leaders, launched in 2013 after the BSA allowed open homosexuals despite a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that allowed them to restrict membership.

BSA paintingTrail Life emphasizes Christian faith, patriotism, and outdoor adventures much like its counterpart, American Heritage Girls, which formed in 1995.

Patti Garabay, who started AHG, cooperated with the BSA until 2013 and now works closely with Trail Life.

Garabay predicts to OneNewsNow that the Boy Scouts will take an even worse turn by dropping faith from their motto to become more secular.

Local scout councils have publicly blamed national leadership, and pressure from left-leaning corporations, for the radical changes.

"The Boy Scouts' slow crawl into the 21st century," reads the headline of a 2017 story at the far-left Think Progress website.

American Heritage Girls"Today parents need to know that there are opportunities, or alternatives," she says, "that actually will still celebrate the sex of the child that they have had, that will help them to navigate the social seas of today which are so confusing."

Girls and boys are different, with different needs, no matter what society claims, says Garabay.

"And I think that's something to be celebrated," she says. "And parents need to understand that what fits for their son is very different than what fits with their daughter."
