StandwithUS has offered its High School Internship Program since 2012, offering students online workshops, two national conferences, and funding for a high school program in their own school.

Alexandria Lewis, who attends a public high school in Dallas, tells OneNewsNow she was accepted for the internship program.

"I felt that Christians didn't see enough of their connection to Israel," she says, "and I really just want to emphasize that Christians have a strong connection to Israel through Jesus."

Lexi, as she prefers to be called, says she's bothered by what she hears from her peers, including jokes about Jews, so she wants to make a difference.

"And while they're not necessarily malicious in intent, what they end up doing is malicious," she says. "They paint Jews with a really broad brush. And I feel like that's completely unfair."

StandWithUs says interns completing the year-long program will be equipped to comfortably take the reins of leadership when they start college.
