Roe v. Wade 1973 signDespite recent uproar, production for a fact-based feature film continues.

The Roe v. Wade movie centers on the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide -- a hotly debated verdict that so far has claimed the lives of 60 million preborn babies in America. Evangelist Dr. Alveda King, executive producer of the film, says some cast members and crew have quit filming because the movie tells the truth about the ruling and how it came about. She tells OneNewsNow many people associated with the film are being pressured by left-wing Hollywood elites.

"That happens to be the truth. Even some of our investors and donors who said they were going to invest … suddenly … pulled out," she adds. "There's a lot of pressure from an invisible source -- I call it a machine, a movement. It's called the pro-abortion or pro-choice movement."

That movement is trying to stop the movie's production in its tracks and make it quietly disappear, but Dr. King insists that filming, with great talent such as Jon Voight and Stacey Dash in the various roles, continues.

"We're swimming straight upstream, and we are in production," she reports. "We are filming, and the scenery, the actors, the work is absolutely beautiful."

Roe v. Wade the movie will be released in October, and Dr. King says it will tell the truth about how one of the worst decisions in the history of the U.S. Supreme Court came about.
