Illegals can now vote in SF school board elections
In an unprecedented move for California, illegal aliens and other noncitizens are now eligible to vote in San Francisco school board elections.
A well-known Christian apologist whose banana analogy became the butt of countless jokes says he has used the embarrassing incident to reach thousands with the gospel.
The film by Ray Comfort is called "The Fool," which recalls how he used the design of the banana to defend creation, and criticize evolution, and thus forever became "Banana Man" to atheists such as Richard Dawkins.
"And it set me up to being a clown for atheists worldwide. I was their celebrity clown," Comfort tells OneNewsNow. "And it was a humiliating story, one that I tried to keep secret because I was so embarrassed and so humiliated by it, but boy did God turn it around and do something absolutely amazing."
There is a principle in scripture, says Comfort, that God often takes someone low before raising him up for God's use.
"I got to preach the gospel to literally hundreds of thousands, even millions of atheists, because of the foolish thing that happened to me," he says. "So it's a true, wonderful and encouraging story that will really encourage your church to stand up for the gospel."
Comfort says the film is free for churches to screen before it is released publicly.
