Armageddon artwork (Horsemen)A new poll finds the Republican tax overhaul is unpopular with the American people – by double digits – and a media watchdog isn't surprised.

"I thought that the liberal media had done a great job of trying to convince the public that the tax plan is a bad plan," observes Don Irvine of Accuracy in Media.

"I think we both know that few, if any, average taxpayers have bothered to read the bill," he adds.

If those same taxpayers are listening to liberals, meanwhile, they have been warned of an Apocalyptic tax plan that has unleashed the Four Horseman.

"This is Armageddon," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi warned this week.

Other politicians and media outlets called the tax bill "undemocratic," "heartless and cruel," and compared it to the death penalty and rape, The Washington Free Beacon reported in a Youtube montage of interviews and on-air freak-outs.

The poll conducted by Quinnipiac showed Americans disapprove by a margin of 53 to 29 percent.

It's no surprise, says Irvine, that left-wing media outlets are suggesting a tax bill that gives tax payers more of their own money is going to hurt them.

"They need to be more transparent in how they report and do things, and just really lay things on the table," he complains. "I mean, their job is to report and not to try to editorialize and couch things in their mindset."
