Although President Donald Trump's proposed budget would have stripped Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers of federal money, the compromise $1.3 trillion spending measure before Congress will continue the flow of tax dollars.

Republicans might currently control the House, Senate and White House but there has been no smooth sailing for the GOP on Capitol Hill when it comes to pushing its conservative agenda through.

“Senate passage shortly after midnight averted a third federal shutdown this year – an outcome both parties wanted to avoid – but in crafting a sweeping deal that busts budget caps, they've stirred conservative opposition and set the contours for the next funding fight ahead of the midterm elections,” The Associated Press (AP) reported Friday. “The House easily approved the measure Thursday, 256-167 – a bipartisan tally that underscored the popularity of the compromise, which funds the government through September. It beefs up military and domestic programs, delivering federal funds to every corner of the country.”

Unfortunately for many pro-life advocates, one of the domestic programs entails killing innocent preborn children at taxpayers’ expense.

Jim Sedlak of the American Life League shared the reaction of his pro-life group and others opposed to Planned Parenthood’s continued federal funding as one of total disappointment and disgust.

“It means that the government – which was elected in 2016 on the pretense that it would stop the funding of Planned Parenthood – simply has not taken money away from them,” the pro-life activist stressed. “They are going to give them another half a billion dollars in 2018.”

While the abortion conglomerate contends that the money is not used for abortion, what it does do is prop up the organization financially and free other money to underwrite abortions.

“We need to stop killing babies, and we need to stop making the American taxpayers pay for the killing of babies and pay money to organizations that are the leading killers of babies in this country,” Sedlak insisted.

When the bill is signed by the president, Planned Parenthood will be well-funded to terminate the lives of more than 300,000 babies per year in the U.S.
