Report laments seminary's legacy of slavery, racism
A report just released on the legacy of slavery and racism at a major Southern Baptist seminary is raising some eyebrows.
A black pro-life pastor is urging voters to shake up Washington, D.C. in the Tuesday election.
Rev. Clenard Childress says he's aware of the controversy around both candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. But he says there's no question what his recommendation is to black voters.
"We need somebody to clean up America. We are in trouble," he says. "Donald Trump kind of reminds me of Clinton Eastwood movies – 'Dirty Harry,' not exactly what you want but would get the job done."
Trump is a "sheriff" coming to Washington, D.C. to "drain the swamp," he says.
African Americans, meanwhile, have been "decimated" by the Democratic Party due to abortion, says Childress, who founded a pro-life group called Blackgenocide.org.
For eight years, he says, the Obama administration has had a "genocide impact" on unborn black babies.
Hillary Clinton has stated she will continue that "legacy" of Obama, he adds.
"Abortion has decimated us. Public schools are decimating the minds of our children," says the pastor and pro-lifer. "So we're really going to have to unquestionably make the turn."
